Yesterday Linda pointed out to me a brown stain that kept on appearing below the shower unit in our holiday apartment.
I had also noticed the stain.  It seemed to be from water that crept behind the unit when the shower was in use.   It caused the white tiles to become 'streaked' with the brown stain and it was difficult to remove.

So.... I took a screwdriver to it and when I took the cover off - this is what we found.
